TEAM Afton - Who We Are
Team Afton USSA is a comprehensive ski racing program,
a partner club of the United States Ski Association

Once upon a time, ski champions like Monte Meier, Kristina Koznick, Bode Miller,
Picabo Street, and many more, were just ordinary boys and girls having fun
skiing. They eventually became champions doing something they loved. The
United States Ski and Snowboard Association, with it's more than 300 local
clubs nationwide, provides aspiring athletes and their parents, with a succinct
guideline for success. Our mission is to help you succeed in ski racing, whether
you are a high school racer or an international competitor. We provide a
comprehensive high quality program designed to help athletes of all abilities
achieve their racing goals.

Team Afton is ready to help you fulfill your dreams. Sign up today!

Where Do Olympians Come From?

Team Afton has produced Champions like Monte Meier-Paralympic Gold Medalist
& US Disabled Ski Team veteran, and Tyler Shepherd – former US Ski Team
Member. More recently, Tague Thorson and Jacob Lund have been competing
at some of the highest levels of international competition. Tague, a recent sport-
scholarship recipient at University of Utah, this past season attended the World
University Games in Torino, Italy where he scored 2 top 10 finishes! Jacob
"Jake" skied all year with the US Ski Team's Development Team. A highlight was
his being named to the US World Junior Championships team, that competed in
Austria. Along with these elite performers, Team Afton continues producing
Central Division Team members and Junior Olympians. Team Afton consistently
qualifies racers to the Junior Olympics at locations such as Beaver Creek, Winter
Park, and Steamboat. We are also very proud of our enthusiastic up-and-
coming younger racers. They inspire their coaches to help them succeed.
Whatever your level, Team Afton will help you succeed too!
